ADRIAN PAYE
BSC(HONS) MRICS MCIOB – CHAIRMAN

From a family of stonemasons, Adrian Paye is a Chartered Surveyor, a Chartered Construction Manager, and the founding director of PAYE Stonework. He often lectures for CPD audiences (RICS, RIBA and others), and acts as a sub-consultant to various structural engineering, surveying and architectural practices. He is a skills assessor for the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust and an ambassador for the Museum of London. On 1st January 2000, Adrian was awarded the Royal Warrant for conservation and repair works at Windsor Castle, St. James’s Palace, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace. PAYE created the Queen Mother Memorial and have undertaken a number of other private commissions for the Royal Household. Adrian’s role at PAYE involves acting as a mentor for the company’s next generation of conservation experts.

PAUL NEWSAM
BSC(HONS) – CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Paul Newsam graduated from Leeds University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He gained specialist experience in a wide variety of structural repair methods before specialising in the repair of historic facades. Paul joined PAYE in 1993, was appointed a Director in 1995 and held the position of Managing Director until 2018.

MATTHEW KEMBER
MSC CONSERVATION – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Matt Kember joined PAYE in 1994. He was made a Director in 2008 and Managing Director in 2018. His experience includes the conservation and repair of many important historic buildings including the award-winning conservation of Hoares Bank, the Lutyens Reuters Building on Fleet Street, Ypres Tower, Bodiam Castle and Pugin’s former home The Grange in Ramsgate. Matt works to ensure that the company’s reputation for providing well managed high-quality projects is maintained.

ROBERT GREER
BSC(HONS) MCIOB CENV – TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Robert Greer joined the company in 1996 from a main contracting background. He has over twenty years’ experience and was responsible for the company’s projects at the Royal Opera House, BBC Broadcasting House, Royal Albert Hall and The Tower of London. Robert is also responsible for implementing the Environmental Policy and the training of skilled craftsmen. He was appointed as a Director in 2008.

DOMINIC PEACHEY
BSC (HONS) – CONTRACTS DIRECTOR

Dominic joined PAYE in April 2005 as a Graduate Site Manager after completing a degree in Construction Management at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. Promoted in 2018 as Contracts Director, he is responsible for the successful delivery of a number of live projects as well as the management of the delivery teams.
Dominic’s has vast experience in the successful completion on a large number of prestigious and complex projects, covering all fields of expertise, from new build, restoration, and conservation to facade retention schemes.

GRAHAM STAPLE
ESTIMATING DIRECTOR

Graham started out on the tools, after completing a diploma in building and 10 years practical experience, in masonry and restoration he joined PAYE in 1993. Graham currently manages and trains our current team of Estimators and was made Estimating Director in 2015.

MARTIN HARVEY
BA(HONS) ACA – FINANCE DIRECTOR

Martin qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 and has over 30 years’ experience in both practice and industry. Martin joined PAYE in 1997 and was appointed a Director in 2003.

ANDREW MCNEILL
MRICS – COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR

Andrew McNeill is a Chartered Surveyor and has over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry looking after Commercial matters. Andrew joined PAYE in 2008 and was made a Director in 2013. He currently manages our Commercial team.
