Year out placement

(Year Out Placement Roles):

Construction / Engineering

Year Out Placement

We run a Year Out Placement Scheme for students who are undertaking a BSc Construction Management / BSc Commercial Management / BCs Civil or Structural Engineering degrees or similar. It is our intention to build a working relationship which could ultimately lead to a permanent position when you graduate.

Listed below is an example of the duties that a placement student will assist with:

  • Site surveys and record keeping
  • Document drawing / information control
  • Liaison with client’s representatives
  • Quality and cost control
  • Maintaining Health and Safety standards
  • Programming works
  • Contract administration
  • Organisation of materials, plant and resources

Benefits:

  • 28 Days Holiday (including bank holidays; 5 days are to be taken over the Christmas shutdown with is approx. 2 weeks)
  • Relocation loan of £1,000 (this is tax free and can be paid back over 12 months)
  • Relocation payment (if applicable)
  • Performance related bonus in December
  • Fully expensed company smartphone and laptop
  • Travel allowance
  • Quarterly social events including a Summer and Christmas Party
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Charity Day

 

Training:

Structured training programme over the 12 months, for example, CSCS, Health and Safety Awareness, Scaffold Awareness, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling

Graduate Site Manager

We run a Graduate Recruitment Scheme for students who are due to complete their BSc Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar. Listed below is an example of the duties that a Graduate will assist with:

  • Site surveys and record keeping
  • Document drawing and information control
  • Liaison with clients representatives
  • Quality and cost control
  • Maintaining Health and Safety standards
  • Programming works
  • Contact administration
  • Organisation of materials, plant and resources

Benefits:

  • Relocation payment of £1,000 on completion of one month (if applicable)
  • 33 Days Holiday (including bank holidays)
