Moulding of more than semi-circular section.

Roman cement

 

Natural cement produced from 1796 by firing a calcareous clay stucco in the 19th century.

A circular window with foils or patterned tracery.

rosette

 

 

A rose-shaped patera.

rotunda

 

 

A room circular in plan and usually domed.

rubbed

 

 

Smooth finish obtained by rubbing stone with abrasive.

rubble

 

 

Walling stone of irregular shape and size.

rubble wall

 

Wall built with stones of irregular shape and size.

rusticated

 

Stone having a sunk, dressed margin to provide recessed joints.
